Igor: I'm 36 years old. I was born and raised in Vladivostok. For 16 years, I was addicted to drugs. I really wanted to change everything - many times I tried to quit on my own, treated myself in clinics, went to other cities trying to escape from drugs, but nothing helped. By the time I was 33, my life was completely ruined. I lost everything: my family avoided meeting with me, my friends turned their backs. The only person who was around was my wife Olga, but she used drugs with me as well. We did not see a way out, no one could help us. One day I met an old acquaintance, knew him as a complete drug addict. When I saw him, I was very surprised - it was a completely different person. He told me that there is salvation in Jesus Christ, that the Living God can change my life too.
Olya: We went through an adaptation course and came home. Life has changed dramatically - a good relationship with relatives, a wonderful husband, a beloved daughter next door, faithful friends, serving God - this could only dream of. So the Living God brought us back to life. But soon I got seriously ill and underwent a complicated surgery, I had my stomach completely removed. The doctors diagnosed me with cancer.
Igor: Before the surgery, they told me to prepare for the worst. "Your wife may or may not live another three months." But I believed that our God is a living, giving life. And only He can lift my wife up on her feet. The operation was a success, and a week later Olga could stand up and walk on her own. The doctors were perplexed that she was recovering so quickly. The second time God showed a miracle in our lives - Olga stayed alive.
Olya: After the surgery, I took five courses of chemotherapy. And then I was told that in the next 5-7 years I wouldn't be able to have children. I was very upset. After all, living without God, I had many abortions. At that time, pregnancy was something terrible for me, another unresolved problem among many others. So now that we've dreamed of having a baby, this medical statement was a blow to us.
Igor: But this is the third time the Lord has performed a miracle. Three months after "chemistry therapy," Olga got pregnant. Doctors insistently offered to terminate the pregnancy, predicting irreversible consequences. In Lesozavodsk, where we lived, we refused to give birth. "How could you let that happen?! - The doctor was outraged - she couldn't give birth on her own, she had to have an operation, the bleeding would open! She could die, couldn't she? And what's all this for? We don't know who's going to be born there yet!" Then I testified to her about Jesus Christ, that He gave us life twice. And that life was also given by the Lord. I promised that I would bring this child to her soon and show her that God is alive!
Olya: They gave me a referral to the Regional Maternity Hospital. The deadline came up, I came to give birth. But even here after the ultrasound I was told: "You have an intrauterine fetal delay, you need 10 days of intensive treatment of the baby, if you want him to be born healthy. But the next day I gave birth to a completely healthy girl. The birth was a success, did not need surgery. Three days later we were already at home. Thank God for His mercy, for rebuilding our family. Three years ago I could not even dream of such happiness!
