Center “Kiliase I laisve” was organized in Lithuania through the efforts of a few ordinary people, who themselves were former drug addicts, alcoholics, cheaters, and thieves. Most of us have lost everything in life, family, friends, position in society, health, etc. But thanks to the program of the Rehabilitation Center they found a new way in life and started all over again, now each of us knows why he lives and has the power to live and the desire to help others, who are still in problems.

Слово rehab center may be more medical, but nevertheless we use it to make it easier for a person to understand what we are talking about.

We do not use any medication or psychological methods for treatment. Our method is faith in God and the personal example of people who have gone through drug addiction, alcoholism and other addictions. Our program is reading the Bible and living as it says.

And really it may sound very simple, but it works! A lot of people not only in our center, but in other centers around the world have been freed from drug and other addictions.

Most of us have already gone through a lot of free and paid medical facilities. As a rule it's just a money-grubbing operation with only temporary results.

The drug creates a kind of emptiness in a person that is very difficult for him to fill. You try to play sports or find some other "extreme" activity for yourself or a way to enjoy yourself, but nothing can compare to that feeling. And it's like a deep pain that only God can pluck out. This is our personal experience, those who have been addicted themselves.

The Christian rehabilitation center is free, because most of us, when we came to rehab, had nothing but debts and bull-burned clothes, much less to pay for treatment. But in order for the center to support itself, we work hard at ordinary jobs: digging, carrying, washing, cleaning, etc.

Our center is open to men and women. We also try to help parents or loved ones who are essentially co-dependents to go through this battle with drug addiction in the home. When there's one person in the family with a problem, it's bad for everyone. When your child or your husband or your wife feels bad, you feel bad too, it gives no peace to anyone. We have organized group meetings for relatives.

If you are not yet ready to come and start a rehabilitation program, there are organized meetings in groups for alcohol and drug addicts. It's important, while you haven't made up your mind yet or while you're looking for a way out, to see those who have made it, who have succeeded.

No one planned to become an addict or die an addict, mere curiosity may have led us into this problem or the influence of friends or something else.
